STEP 4 – Enter Printer Details

Regardless of what printers are listed, click on the ‘IP’ tab at the top. Enter the printer’s IP address in the ‘Address field’ (in our case 172.13.66.249 – but this will be unique to your installation).

Ensure that Protocol is set to ‘Line Printer Daemon – LPD’

You can enter a memorable name that you wish to call the printer.

The ‘Use:’ box should self-populate if you have downloaded and installed the driver, if you have downloaded the driver and this does not self-populate, check your IP Address is correct.

Click ‘Add’

STEP 5 – Customise the Printer

You may see a window that asks you to customise your printer, if this appears you may need to manually add things such as the lower paper trays and any staple finisher. This can also be checked/adjusted in the ‘Options and Supplies’ menu following installation.

With the printer installed, you may now want to set your Ricoh printer’s default settings, a guide for how to set your Ricoh printer default settings can be found here.
